Sometimes you are at a loss. No ideas whatsoever, you have favorites at Tastespotting, you have archives, you have notes on what recipes to try and you have people feedback but nothing seems to fit. I cannot write a post to 'fill in' space. I have to absolutely love that recipe and it should look and taste amazing not to mention that it should be photographed decently. This weeks' post is one of a kind of traditional Indian biscuits called Naan Khatai.This is a very old hands down recipe.It consists of only three main ingredients - Ghee, flour and sugar. It is flavored with freshly grounded cardamom. The cookies are sprinkled with pistachios or Almond. The typical texture of these cookies should be powder like on the cracked tops. You can find them in almost all bakeries and they are true all time favorites. Nan khatai is an egg-less light and crispy biscuit that’s perfect to serve with tea or coffee.

Ostrich, firstly, is actually a very tasty meat. It tastes somewhat like chicken...lol! Ok, it doesn't taste like chicken, but I couldn't resist the temptation. It is a very lean meat, possibly more lean than beef (therefore a fairly good alternative for those on some form of low cholesterol diet).And lastly, and most importantly, this cut of meat is an inexpensive alternative to the more luxurious ox tail that we seem to reserve for graduations and wedding rehearsals.
This was my lunch today, packed with goodness and yumminess. I only made 1 quesadilla for myself, so I quartered the recipe. It was delicious, loved the oozing cheese and the flavorsome veggies. A great combination on both flavor and texture. I broiled the top for a few minutes to make it nice, brown and crispy. Will be making this more often for sure.
Made this pasta with veggies for supper yesterday, and I was impressed. I wan't sure that if there would be enough flavor, and it actually came out quite tasty. I did add a bit hot chili sauce. A quick, easy and yummy one-pot meal.
